Chad (Founder)
Chad is a powerhouse in the world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts, hailing from South Africa and earning respect on the global stage. With over a decade of experience as a seasoned competitor, he’s known for his technical mastery, strategic depth, and unrelenting discipline. Backed by a BSc in Human Physiology and a BSc Honours in Sport Science, Chad blends cutting-edge athletic science with first-hand combat experience to elevate human performance.
Driven by the gaps Chad saw in the supplement industry as an elite athlete, he founded Arete Nutraceuticals to bring a science-driven, purpose led approach to dietary supplements – one that truly supports performance, recovery, and longevity.
Grounded in science and forged through experience, Arete reflects his core belief in daily, purpose-driven progress toward one’s highest potential. For Chad, this isn’t just a company—it’s a personal mission to raise the standard of what athletes put into their bodies.
Don (Brand Ambassador)
Don Madge is a pioneer in South African martial arts, with over two decades of experience as a professional fighter and coach. Beginning in Thailand’s Muay Thai circuit, he amassed more than 70 professional fights and multiple titles before transitioning to MMA, becoming a two-time EFC Lightweight Champion and competing on the international stage in the UFC and Professional Fighters League (PFL).
As Arete Nutraceuticals’ Brand Ambassador, Don personifies the discipline, resilience, and pursuit of excellence that define the brand — living these principles daily through his coaching, training, and dedication to helping others reach their full potential.
Kiolan (Scientific Advisor)
A qualified pharmacist with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in pharmacy, Kiolan brings a strong scientific foundation to the Arete team. With multiple scientific papers on topics including dietary supplements, he is dedicated to uncovering the science behind effective formulations. His expertise ensures our products are backed by evidence and meet the highest standards of performance and quality.
